EVERTON FC: GORDON'S HOME COMFORT
/noticias.info/ Sunderland keeper Craig Gordon wants his side to keep their good home form going against Everton.
The Black Cats have won their last three games at the Stadium of Light without conceding a goal.
"We're on a nice run at home and we aim to keep it going against Everton," said the Scot. "There's a good spirit here and we've taken encouragement from our performances at home."
The Blues romped to a 7-1 win over Sunderland back in November but Gordon isn't anticipating a similarly one-sided occasion this time around.
"Everton will be a tough match," he continued, "But with our home record we are capable of taking maximum points.
"The table is tight and a couple of the results [last weekend] made it even closer between a group of eight or nine of us in the bottom half."
Gordon’s boss Roy Keane admits that heavy defeat won’t be easily forgotten.
"It will stay with me to my dying day and I'm sure that's the same for our players and supporters,” said Keane. “But you use your setbacks and your mistakes as a way of improving and I certainly learned a lot about myself that day.
"We know this weekend will be tough because Everton have the incentive of chasing that fourth-place spot.”
Sunderland welcome defender Danny Collins back from suspension but Liam Miller is unlikely to feature after he was transfer listed.
Carlos Edwards won't play as he recovers from a broken leg, and Ross Wallace is also still out. notas_de_prensa_archivo
