EVERTON FC: WAIT ON OSSIE & ARTETA

/noticias.info/ Everton will have to wait to see if Mikel Arteta and Leon Osman are available for Sunderland.

Arteta replaced Osman against Fiorentina but isn’t at full fitness, while Ossie himself could also be a doubt for the trip to the Stadium of Light.

The Blues squad have arrived back from Italy after their defeat to Fiorentina and early signs show that there are no other major fitness doubts although Lee Carsley will miss the trip to the North East through suspension.

But Moyes explained that full examinations of his players will not take place until Saturday.

The Blues boss told evertonfc.com: “We’ve only just arrived back from Italy so I can’t give all the details on that just now.”

“One or two have got knocks and bruises from the game, but it will be Saturday before we can really see where everybody is and how they are.”

Arteta featured as a second half substitute in the European clash and Moyes is optimistic that the Spaniard will be back to his best once he returns to full fitness.

He continued: “Mikel had 35 minutes of the game last night so hopefully that will help him, but I think what he’s missed is that he has had no training for two weeks, so we had to take a bit of a risk, but we thought it was the right risk to take at the time.

“Hopefully we can get him back fit and get him up and running again.”
