PSV v Ajax may be called off

/noticias.info/ Sunday afternoon’s top-of-the-table Eredivisie clash between leaders PSV and second-placed Ajax may be called off after Mr Guus Braks, the mayor of Eindhoven, had announced on Saturday morning public safety could not be guaranteed due to a police strike. Mr Guus Braks kept one option open, though. “If Ajax, who have gone to court in a bid to get the fixture against PSV given the go-ahead, win their case later this afternoon, it is possible that the match can be played after all.”
PSV’s Security manager Frank Wijnveld said that PSV will continue preparations for Sunday afternoon’s game at the Philips Stadium all the same. The police unions ACP and ANPV are protesting after failing in their negotiations for an improved collective labour agreement with the minister of interior affairs Guusje ter Horst. “We have been monitoring the negotiations and had hoped they would be successful. I was disappointed to hear that they had come to nothing eventually” said Mr Braks at a press briefing at the town hall in Eindhoven on Saturday morning. notas_de_prensa_archivo
