EVERTON FC: VAUGHAN INJURY BLOW
/noticias.info/ ames Vaughan has been rocked by another injury problem.
The teenage striker is in America visiting the renowned knee specialist Dr Richard Steadman after breaking down in training at Finch Farm ahead of the trip to Fiorentina and he may play no further part in this current campaign.
"The knee just locked a couple of times in training and it is terrible luck for the boy," said Blues boss, David Moyes.
Vaughan has endured dreadful ill-luck since bursting onto the Premier League scene in 2005 and this latest setback will be a huge blow to him.
He has suffered with knee problems in the past and he missed a large chunk of this campaign after dislocating his shoulder during a pre-season friendly match at Preston North End in July.
"We don't know yet whether it is the same problem as before but it is the same knee," explained Moyes.
"We decided he should have the operation now rather than wait until the end of the season and he has to be a doubt for the rest of the campaign."
