UEFA CUP: Gamberini ruled out of PSV opener

/noticias.info/ Defender Alessandro Gamberini will miss the first leg of ACF Fiorentina's UEFA Cup quarter-final against PSV Eindhoven after suffering a thigh injury on Sunday.

The 26-year-old former Bologna FC player was substituted midway through the first half of Sunday's 3-1 Serie A victory against Genoa CFC, with scans this morning confirming that he will not be available for the home leg against PSV on 3 April. The 32-year-old midfielder Martin Jørgensen is also doubtful for the match due to a thigh problem, but both players should be back to full fitness for the return in Eindhoven on 10 April.
