FIFA: Malagasy Football Association suspended

/noticias.info/ FIFA has been informed of the decision taken by the Supreme Court of Madagascar to reject an appeal from the Malagasy Football Association (FMF) to defer a ministerial order dissolving the FMF.

As a result, the suspension of the FMF and the measures stipulated in Article 14.3 of the FIFA Statutes have come into effect today Wednesday 19 March 2008, as decided by FIFA's Executive Committee on 14 March.

Likewise, neither the 'special delegation' the Minister of Sports wishes to set up, nor any decisions this body may eventually take, will be recognised by FIFA, as per Article 17 par. 2 and 3 of the same Statutes. notas_de_prensa_archivo
