/noticias.info/ Leighton Baines is aiming to help Everton put the pressure on Liverpool ahead of the Merseyside derby by securing a vital result against West Ham.
The Blues take on the Hammers on Saturday at Goodison (kick-off 5.15pm) looking to bridge the three point gap with fourth place Liverpool and extend the lead over Portsmouth and Aston Villa as the campaign enters its final quarter.
With the Reds taking on Manchester United on Sunday, Baines believes the match against the Hammers is ‘massive’.
Tickets are still available and the boys in blue need YOUR support in their quest for European football next season.
David Moyes’ side will be seeking for their third win of the season over Alan Curbishley’s side following the back-to-back victories in the cup and league at Upton Park in December, but they face a West Ham side buoyed by the 2-1 triumph over Blackburn last weekend with debutant Academy product Freddie Sears bagging the winning goal.
Baines told evertonTV: “It is a big couple of weeks coming up for us. If we can get six points in the next couple of games everyone will go home happy.
“It is still all to play for and to go to Anfield level would be great. Liverpool have got some tough games coming up so as long as we can keep getting points on the board we are still in it.”
