VAUGHAN 'IN GOOD SPIRITS'
/noticias.info/ James Vaughan knows full well he’s got a lot of hard work ahead of him.
The teenage striker has recently returned from Colorado, where he underwent knee surgery, and although the road back to fitness is a long one he’s certainly ready for the challenge.
“I’m in very good spirits,” he said. “I know I’ve got to work really hard and that it’s a bad time for it to happen to me, but I’m ready to just knuckle down and get on with it.
“I knew I was in good hands going to see Dr Stedman because he’s seen me before.”
Vaughan was speaking from the Finch Farm training base as he hobbled about on crutches and although he has to take things steadily, he’s looking forward to at least doing some sort of fitness work in the gymnasium.
“I can do quad sets and I will be able to do some upper-body stuff with weights,” he said.
Everton physio Matt Connery accompanied Vaughan on his operation trip to the USA and the player was grateful for some company.
