INTER: Moratti: "Unfair sending-off"
/noticias.info/ MILAN - Massimo Moratti spoke briefly to journalists outside the Saras offices on Thursday lunchtime.
This is what he had to say:
President, you suffered once again in Genoa last night...
"Yes. It was a hard match, especially after we were reduced to ten men. I think it was an unfair sending-off. It made things hard for us and it became a difficult match because the team was tired after all the matches we have played."
It's the tenth time this season that your team has been reduced to ten men. So much for those who say that Inter have been helped by referees this season...
"These are things that can happen. I thought the decision last night was a bit harsh."
Roma were also made to suffer last night. Did Lazio's third goal in the derby give you a bit of joy?
"Football is cruel. Just when you think you're winning, something else happens. However, not much changes. We will have to be careful until the end of the season."
Apart from the physical tiredness, could there be a mental tiredness problem that has led to the numerous sendings-off?
"What do you mean? Do you think that Pelé's sending-off yesterday was due to mental tiredness? I really don't think so."
Perhaps the player could have avoided a second booking if he had been a bit more careful.
"I'll tell you again. The second booking was a very harsh and unfair booking. The referee can do what he wants and think he's right. I have my opinion and I have just expressed it, so I don't see any nervousness. Actually, the team held up very well in a very difficult situation, and it was quite normal to concede a goal." notas_de_prensa_archivo
