ARSENAL: Djourou - Future looks good at Arsenal

/noticias.info/ By Matt Fortune

Arsenal have a bright future ahead, according to Johan Djourou.

The Swiss international made a return to action after over two months out with a groin problem as the Gunners second-string dispatched with Portsmouth Reserves on Wednesday night .

Djourou, still only 21, was the eldest of the 10 outfield players and insists that if the players continue to develop at the rate they are, success is only a matter of time.

“Their improvement has been big,” he told Arsenal.com. “I see them every day on the training field and then I see the work that they do with Neil Banfield and with Steve Bould. You can see their improvement each time they play, or even when they join in with the first-team.

“It is very good for Arsenal’s future.”

The 'Arsenal way' is clearly embedded in the young players early. For Djourou it makes things a lot easier on the training field and in a competitive environment.

“You know that it is the same way of thinking right down to the kids at Arsenal,” he explained. “We all want to play the same way and that is the way the boss wants us to play. That was shown today in a two goal victory.

“Of course it is easy to slot in with these players. They have the ability and I know that when I play with them I have talented people around me. They work hard and they all want to make it so it is a pleasure to be with them.” notas_de_prensa_archivo
