CHELSEA FC: MATCHDAY TRAVEL NEWS

/noticias.info/ f you are planning on travelling to Stamford Bridge to support the Blues against our north London rivals when we host Arsenal this Sunday then you may appreciate the following information.

If you are going to use the London Underground to get to the stadium then be aware the District Line will be suspended between Edgware Road and Earls Court on Sunday due to planned engineering works. Commuters are advised to use alternative London Buses and Underground services.

Both the Circle Line and East London Line will be closed, in both directions, as planned engineering work is carried out.

There will be no service between Baker Street and Hammersmith on the Hammersmith and City Line; there is a limited replacement bus service in operation.

The Metropolitan Line is closed between Wembley Park and Northwood, Uxbridge as work is carried out, replacement buses operate as well as additional Piccadilly Line trains to and from Uxbridge. There is no Chiltern Railways service between Marylebone and Amersham.

There is engineering work taking place on the National Rail service between Battersea Park and Peckham Rye and the London Victoria to London Bridge service (via Denmark Hill) will not be in operation. There is a replacement bus service running every 30 minutes.

The National Express East Anglia service to and from Gidea Park will start and terminate at Stratford as work is carried out. Underground services can be used between Stratford, Newbury Park and Liverpool Street. Buses will operate between Ingatestone and Newbury Park and between Ingatestone, Shenfield and Gidea Park.

Commuters travelling on National Rail services are also advised to check their trains arrival and departure times through the National Rail website.

If you are planning to drive to the stadium then be aware, two-way traffic is still being maintained on Hammersmith Grove between Goldhawk Road and Beadon Road in northbound and southbound directions due to Thames Water works.

Hammersmith Road (Hammersmith) may be congested in the eastbound direction from Rowan Road and Wolverton Gardens as lane restrictions have been put in place while Gas works are carried out.

Lane restrictions are also in place on Wood Lane (Shepherds Bush) at the junction of Ariel Way, there may be delays in both northbound and southbound directions. There are also temporary traffic signals in operation on Wood Lane at the junction of Du Cane Road, which may result in delays in both the northbound and southbound directions.

Earls Court Road is reduced to one lane in the southbound direction at the junction of Redcliffe Gardens and Old Brompton Road; this may cause congestion in the area.

There are still carriageway restrictions in eastbound and westbound directions at Scotch Corner (Chelsea) on the junction between Knightsbridge and Brompton Road due to gas, water and telecommunication works.

For more information on the Underground or roadworks in and around the capital visit Transport for London. notas_de_prensa_archivo
