CHELSEA TV EXCLUSIVE: IT WAS LIKE WE LOST THE GAME
/noticias.info/ Didier Drogba has revealed the atmosphere in the changing rooms reflected his own disappointment after the 4-4 draw with Tottenham on Wednesday.
Talking exclusively to Chelsea TV, Drogba, who has scored in our last two games against the north London club, said it had been a difficult game and the team were saddened by the result.
'Tactically we were playing well, we went down on set pieces and I think we conceded too many goals from set pieces,' said Drogba, speaking exclusively to Chelsea's official television channel.
'But on the first goal I apologise because the first goal was my man [Woodgate] so it's difficult. We are very, very disappointed.'
It was the Ivorian who scored the opening goal on Wednesday night, but he was disappointed by the final result as Chelsea surrendered a two-goal lead in the second-half.
'It was a good start, but I think it's embarrassing not to score against them and then win the game,' said Drogba.
'Today it is like a loss, because we were controlling the game, we are winning 3-1, so for me it is like we lost the game.'
'It is not the best atmosphere [in the changing room] but we still believe,' he added.
But with Chelsea's youth team winning the FA Youth Cup semi-final clash with Aston Villa on the same night, Drogba had some praise for one Chelsea performance.
'At least we have a Chelsea team in the final, so that is good,' said Drogba.
'I hope we win it. I am very happy, congratulations to the boys. We will come there and we will be there to support them,' explained the Ivorian in the interview you can watch on Chelsea Plus now.
