ARSENAL: Paddy Power charity bet of the weekend

/noticias.info/ Paddy Power, Arsenal's official online betting partner, will donate a £50 stake every week for Arsenal.com to make a charity bet. Last season the charity bet raised £1,600 for the Willow Foundation. This season all winnings will be presented to Arsenal's chosen charity for the 2007/08 season, TreeHouse.

The amount raised so far this season stands at £1381 . Take a look at this week's selections:

£25 double: Portsmouth to beat Spurs/Newcastle to beat Fulham - 7/1

Tottenham’s inconsistency is becoming a huge source of frustration for their fans, whereas Portsmouth’s fine run of form - six wins from their last eight in all competitions - has reignited hopes of a European place next season. Newcastle are improving and with Fulham’s woeful away record, the Cottagers represent an ideal opportunity for Kevin Keegan to register that elusive first win.

£15 double: Wolves to beat QPR/Coventry to beat Southampton - 6/1

Wolves and QPR are both struggling to put any sort of run of results together but still find themselves within a whisker of the play-off places. Home advantage should count as QPR have won just four times on their travels this season. Southampton have won just twice in the League since the turn of the year and come into the game on the back of a 5-0 humiliation by Hull City. Meanwhile Coventry are far from being assured of their position in the Championship next year but have looked an improved outfit under Chris Coleman.

£10 single: Wigan to beat Blackburn - 4/1

The Lactics are certainly not showing relegation form - unbeaten in four without conceding - and Blackburn’s hope of a top six finish are floundering. Dean Ashton tormented Rovers’ defence last week and Wigan boast their own all-action centre forward in Emile Heskey. He is back in the goals and could be key.

Our online friends at Paddy Power are as excited about our midfielders' goalscoring this season as we are. It's rumoured Fabregas, Rosicky and Hleb have got a competition between them to see who’ll score the most this season. Cesc looks to be running away with it but there is a long way to go yet. So Paddy Power’s latest idea is to liven up the competition by giving £50 to charity for every goal they score until the end of the season. This total will be added to the charity bet balance in May. notas_de_prensa_archivo
