The Reserves, who face a Sporting Lisbon and Benfica side in the last four of the competition at the Pizza Hut Stadium at 9pm GMT tonight, took time out from their preparations for the match to greet patients and autograph footballs.

It was the perfect way to wind down following their 9-0 thrashing of Japanese outfit Ryutsu Keizai Kashiwa, although Ablett is expecting a more difficult proposition in the semi-final.

"We've won the group easily though and at the end of the day you can only beat what is put in front of you," he said.

"We played well in the first game, poorly in the second and I'd say we did okay tonight.

"We'll need to be better in the semi-final though because we'll be up against much tougher opposition." notas_de_prensa_archivo
