EVERTON FC: LADIES WANT LEAGUE SUCCESS

/noticias.info/ Winning the Premier League is a realistic target insists Everton Ladies manager Mo Marley.

The Toffees resume league action on Sunday with a trip to Watford following the disappointing FA Women’s Cup semi-final defeat to Leeds on penalties last weekend.

And despite the Blues languishing 14 points behind leaders Arsenal, Marley believes the Blues can bridge the gap with having three games in hand over the Gunners.

She told evertonTV: “We are still in with the league.

“We have won a cup which is brilliant and is more than what we have done in the last two seasons but now we have got to bash on a little bit.

“We have got to keep playing and hoping that Arsenal drop points and we can keep winning.

“Second place is a must now or the season will just fizzle out and it won’t be exciting for us.”

The League Cup triumph over has Arsenal has increased expectations on the Blues and Marley concedes her side must now rise to the challenge.

“It is brilliant that we won something but the pressure becomes that bit greater,” she explained.

“The expectations become that little bit greater and we are probably not used to being in that position.”
