INTER: Roberto Mancini after Inter-Juve
/noticias.info/ MILAN - Roberto Mancini analysed his team's performance after the 2-1 defeat against Juventus.
He said: "There was a clear mistake for the first goal because it was offside. We made a mistake for the second goal, and at that stage the game was compromised.
"After that we had problems because we had to attack and we were conceding spaces to Juventus who often created dangerous counter-attacks. We tried to come back in every way possible.
"We played well in the first half but we weren't that incisive with our chances. We didn't manage to react in the way we wanted, but the team did everything to put the match back on the right track. We could have drawn after Maniche's goal, but unfortunately some episodes are decisive in the final phase of the season.
"Our biggest problem, however, is that we have lost so many players in these last few weeks.
"Roma too close? No. We're still four points in front and it's a good lead. Anything can happen every week in a championship like ours.
"Both us and Roma have two hard games next week. We'll have to try to do well. A few months ago I said that it's nicer to win a championship with a small lead. We know we have the qualities to put together a run of consecutive victories, and we will try. Perhaps we were a bit tired because we have played three games in six days, and it was a very tiring game tonight.
"Will they now stop saying Inter are helped by referees? Yes. After this offside and all the sendings-off, I really do think so. To win the Scudetto you need tranquillity and awareness of your own strength. A team doesn't stay on top of the table for two years in a row if it doesn't have these qualities. We won't have any problems if we can get a few players back." notas_de_prensa_archivo
