EVERTON FC: BAINES ON 4TH BATTLE

/noticias.info/ Leighton Baines is urging Everton to launch their fourth place bid in earnest at Anfield.

The Toffees are just two points behind Liverpool ahead of Sunday's derby.

And Baines, back after a series of niggling injuries, knows the importance of the game on every level.

He told evertonTV: "We know how much it could mean not only in the race for the fourth, but for the fans as well.

"We will keep aiming for fourth place. we know if we can get a good result there we are right back in it, they have some tough games to come.

"We have more home games than away games left."

Everton's last outing, the 1-1 draw with West Ham left many at Goodison frustrated, but Baines preferred to look at the bigger picture.

He added: "It was good to get back out there and play at a high tempo and I am quite pleased with my fitness.

"Being in fifth at the moment is fantastic and at the beginning of the season people would have taken that." notas_de_prensa_archivo
