EVERTON FC ;LET'S END DERBY ACRIMONY

/noticias.info/ Everton believe steps should be taken to ensure the acrimony of Sunday's Merseyside derby does not intensify.

The latest encounter between rivals Liverpool and Everton at Anfield on Sunday was followed by both clubs highlighting 'disrespectful' behaviour of opposition fans.

And now, Everton officials are calling for action to be taken to ensure future derbies aren't affected by similar behaviour.

“There is almost an accepted level of abuse that takes place in all derby games,” said Everton's head of PR, Ian Ross.

“The Merseyside derby is usually laced with humour but on Sunday that was not the case. I think both sets of supporters crossed the Rubicon and went that step too far. notas_de_prensa_archivo
