CHAMPIONS LEAGUE: No panic as Adebayor keeps believing

/noticias.info/ Arsenal FC striker Emmanuel Adebayor has vowed to "give everything that I have in my heart" to help his side overcome Liverpool FC in the UEFA Champions League quarter-final second leg.

First goal
Adebayor, who scored first in last week's 1-1 draw in north London, remains confident that his team can knock out last season's runners-up at Anfield despite Liverpool having an away goal to their name. "In the first leg I think we had a lot of chances to have killed the game and we didn't, but surely we will do that [on Tuesday]," he said.

'Big battle'
"We know that it's an important game for the club and for us as players. The most important thing is to keep our concentration high and to enjoy ourselves," added the Togo international. "If we play our own football, we have a chance to progress. We need movement and we have to fight because we know there is going to be a big battle here against a lot of good players from Liverpool, so it's going to be tough but I think we are ready for that."

No fatigue
Adebayor denies suggestions that the long season is taking its toll on Arsenal, who have won only two of their last eleven matches. "Everyone is feeling good. I came to Arsenal to play as much as possible, so I cannot say I am tired," he said. "As footballers, we just have to fight in our head and be ready to give 100 per cent. I will give everything that I have in my heart and, at the end of the day, we will see. Liverpool have good defenders and it will be very difficult, but as a striker I just have to find the solutions."

No panic
The famous air of intimidation that hangs over Anfield on European nights holds no fear for the 24-year-old, who believes the evening will be "similar" to when Arsenal beat Liverpool 3-1 and 6-3 on Merseyside in the FA Cup and Carling Cup last term. He said: "For sure, this time we are talking about the [UEFA Champions League] quarter-final second game against Liverpool at Anfield, so you have to understand that the atmosphere is going to be unbelievable, but as a player, these are things you want to achieve. We are not panicking – we still have big belief that we can do it." notas_de_prensa_archivo
