ARSENAL:Bendtner - We have enough goals in us to win

/noticias.info/ Nicklas Bendtner believes his side have enough goals in them to win at Anfield on Tuesday and reach the Champions League Semi-Final.

The Quarter-Final second leg tie will be the third meeting between Arsenal and Liverpool in seven days - and the young Dane has been in the thick of the goal action in both.

During last Wednesday's first leg, the 20-year-old inadvertently blocked Cesc Fabregas' shot on the line. At the weekend he equalised with a towering header as the Premier League game also ended 1-1.

On Tuesday, Arsène Wenger's men know they must score in the first 90 minutes to have any chance of progression and Bendtner has faith in the seam of goals running through the side.

"I don't think we have many goalless draws at this Club," said the former Copenhagen player. "They will have their game plan and we will have ours. But we always score and get our chances.

"[In these two games] they have frustrated us but with the way we can play and the chances we have created, we could have won them both. On Saturday it could have been 2-1 or 3-1 to us quite easily. We just have to put away our chances."

Bendtner did, of course, when he touched home a free-kick by Fabregas just before the hour. But the pair did not combine so sweetly in the European tie last week.

"Yes, it was nice to score and get back a little bit from what happened on Wednesday when I got a bit stuck," he said

"I don't know whether I owe the team or not. I do everything I can whenever I play. I just got a bit stuck that night - I was trying to get out of the way but it came so quickly I didn't have time to think."

With Eduardo out and Robin van Persie struggling, Bendtner may well start on Tuesday. Certainly he'll be required if Arsenal have to chase the tie. The former Birmingham loanee has 10 minutes of Anfield experience from the Premier League game back in October, which also ended 1-1. Whatever happens there cannot be a fourth game with that scoreline, something has to give on what is sure to be a spellbinding night.

"We went to Anfield before this season and everyone was telling me before that game how great a place it can be to play in," said Bendtner. "I came on and it was very nice. The atmosphere was fantastic. I expect the same on Tuesday but we have to deal with it and win the game. As a player, you always want to produce and in a big game even more so. It certainly should be a good one to watch." notas_de_prensa_archivo
