Paddy Power is paying out on Russia in their betting on where the first overseas Premier League game will be played.

The bookie started betting on the likely destination when the Premier League's ambitious plans first emerged in February. The move was put firmly on the back-burner after torrential criticism both at home and abroad so with no sign of a solution, Paddy Power are paying out on the Champions League final in Moscow as the first competitive match overseas between two Premier League teams.

Just one customer placed a bet on Russia with his £5 stake at 28/1 returning £140.

Paddy Power said: 'This looks like being as close as the Premier League are going to get for the overseas match as Moscow becomes all English on May 21st so we'll payout accordingly.
