BLUES ON RICH LIST

/noticias.info/ Everton have been ranked as the 21st most valuable football club in the world.

The list has been compiled by Forbes Magazine and has placed Everton ahead of Premier League rivals West Ham, Manchester City and Aston Villa in the list, with only six top flight clubs in a higher position.

The Blues are valued at $197m by Forbes, placing them just behind Glasgow Celtic and one place outside the world's top 20.

Everton CEO Keith Wyness told evertonfc.com: "It is always good too see the club involved in the top echelons of European football and it is important we continue to make progress year on year."

Forbes have put together the rich list based on figures for the 2006/07 campaign and it also takes into consideration current stadium deals and does not include deductions for debts.

Manchester United top the list, with three of the top four places taken by English sides.

Real Madrid break the monopoly, taking second spot with Arsenal and Liverpool in third and fourth place.
Manchester United are valued at $1,800m, with Real Madrid trailing at $1,285m.

Arsenal and Liverpool are the only other clubs in the list to break the $1,000m valuation.

Tottenham and Newcastle are the only clubs outside the perceived top four to make the top 20, with Spurs ranked 12th at $414m and Newcastle ranked 16th at $300m.

The Premier League has the most representatives in the top 25 with 10 clubs.

Barcelona and Valencia are the only Spanish sides represented other than Madrid, whilst there are five German clubs and four teams from Italy. notas_de_prensa_archivo
