MOYES' UEFA ENVY
/noticias.info/ David Moyes will be watching Wednesday's Uefa Cup final with envy!
Rangers take on Zenit St Petersburg in Manchester in the showpiece event - and Moyes knows it could have been Everton looking forward to a final.
The Toffees lost on penalties to Fiorentina in the last 16, and actually defeated Zenit in the group stage.
Moyes said: "I am going to watch the Uefa Cup final this week with a little bit of disappointment that we weren't in it. "But you have to earn the right, and have a little bit of luck along the way."
The Everton boss has been in touch with his Rangers counterpart to offer his help in preparing a game plan for the Russian champions.
He explained: "I spoke to him and I left him a message as well and my congratulations go to Rangers for being able to get to the Uefa Cup final.
"We played Zenit and if he wants any information then I can give it him. I spoke to him before they played Fiorentina and I think that the game went very much to plan."
Everton are back in the Uefa Cup after finishing fifth in the Premier League and Moyes is looking for more good European experiences next term.
"We really enjoyed it, the supporters really enjoyed it and I think we were good for Europe," he said.
"Looking forward to next year, it is great to be back in Europe so many clubs have been striving to do so
"The players at Everton did a great job in getting there." notas_de_prensa_archivo
