LESCOTT SCOOPS ANOTHER AWARD
/noticias.info/ Joleon Lescott was delighted to receive yet another personal award at the weekend.
Since 1995 the Everton Disabled Supporters Association has traditionally presented their Player of the Year Trophy to the winning player before the last home game of the season and that proud tradition continued ahead of the Newcastle match.
Joleon was a popular winner and as soon as the team warm-up had finished on Sunday he trotted across to accept his award in front of the new Gwladys Street Disabled Enclosure before following his team-mates into the dressing room for the final instructions.
EDSA Chairman Steve Heneghan said: “It is with great thanks to Everton Football Club that we have been allowed to continue this proud tradition.
“The votes have shown that EDSA members feel Joleon has arguably been Everton’s “Mr Consistency” throughout this season and he is one of only two players to have the won the EDSA Trophy for a 2nd time.
“His willingness to work hard for his team mates does him credit. His commitment has never been less than a 100%, and as Evertonians, that’s all we ask of our players.” notas_de_prensa_archivo
