NINE YOUNGSTERS DEPART
/noticias.info/ Nine Everton youngsters have been released after their contracts ended.
In addition, Anthony Gardner has returned to Spurs following the completion of his loan deal.
Of the nine players, Icelander Bjarni Vidarsson is the only player to have played for the first team.
He leaves the club having spent the last five months on loan at FC Twente in Holland. Also departing are defenders Patrick Boyle and Shaun Densmore, midfielders Steven Morrison, James Hall and Ryan Harpur and forwards Aidan Downes and Stephen Connor.
Goalkeeper Jamie Jones is also on the list of players not retained by the club.
Vidarsson made his sole senior appearance for the Toffees as a sub in the 3-2 win over Alkmaar in December.
Boyle spent the second part of the campaign on loan at Crewe, while Downes enjoyed a loan spell at Yeovil. Earlier this season Connor had linked up with Partick Thistle on a temporary basis.
Reserve Player of the Year John Irving has been offered a new deal, while new terms have also been offered to to Irish defender Darren Dennehy.
Last week, David Moyes confirmed that Stefan Wessels and Thomas Gravesen were also leaving the club. notas_de_prensa_archivo
