THE FESTIVITIES START EARLY
/noticias.info/ The showpiece Final may not be until Wednesday, but festivities in Moscow will be beginning as early as Saturday, when the UEFA Champions Festival kicks off in the city's famous Red Square.
Several activities will take place in the Square, including a public showing of the UEFA Champions Gallery - a 28-minute, five-screen, 180° cinematic experience covering the rich and dramatic history of the European Cup.
There will also be the chance to be photographed with the Cup in The Trophy Display Booth. On top of that is a display of UEFA Champions League memorabilia, and an autograph session featuring former Blue Graeme Le Saux, and United's Bryan Robson.
In addition, there will be an exhibition five-a-side game, also with Le Saux involved, as well as Croatian legend Davor Suker and Predrag Mijatovic.
The Festival opening ceremony will take place on Saturday at 11am local time, in the presence of Vitaly Mutko, Russian minister of tourism, sports and youth and president of the Russian Football Union, Valeri Vinogradov, Moscow's deputy mayor and Rinat Dasaev, the ambassador to this year's UEFA Champions League final at the city's Luzhniki Stadium.
So, if you are arriving in Russia early, why not go along and sample the unique Champions League atmosphere?
