IRAQ: CF kills 6 enemy personnel with air strikes

/noticias.info/ TIKRIT, Iraq – Coalition forces killed six enemy personnel and destroyed a cache near Khan Bani Sa’ad with air strikes, May 17.

While attempting to disarm a discovered improvised explosive device, 5th Iraqi Army Division soldiers received small arms and rocket propelled grenade fire. The attack resulted in the death of an IA soldier.

Following the attack, Coalition forces observed four criminals with multiple weapons next to a house suspected of containing a weapons cache. Coalition forces used an Air Force jet to engage the building with precision guided munitions destroying the cache and killing the four enemy personnel.

A vehicle thought to have been involved in the complex attack was engaged by a Coalition force helicopter. The vehicular engagement resulted in five secondary explosions and the death of two suspects. notas_de_prensa_archivo
