IRAQ: National Police find weapons cache in New Baghdad

/noticias.info/ BAGHDAD – Iraqi National Policemen assigned to the 1st Battalion, 8th Brigade, 2nd National Police Division and their partnered Transition Team uncovered a weapons cache in the New Baghdad Security District of eastern Baghdad May 19.

The Soldiers found the cache while patrolling Muhalla 744. Initial reports indicate the cache included three improvised explosive device triggers, one rocket propelled grenade launcher, two RPG rounds, three grenades and several linked 7.62 caliber ammunition.

“Coalition force Soldiers remain steadfast in our determination to keep these weapons and the criminals who use them from endangering innocent Iraqi citizens in eastern Baghdad,” said Maj. Joey Sullinger, spokesperson for 4th Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division. notas_de_prensa_archivo
