COE: Congress to observe second round of elections in the Province of Vojvodina, Serbia

/noticias.info/ Strasbourg, 20.05.2008 – The Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe will observe the second round of the provincial elections in Vojvodina (Republic of Serbia), which will be held on 25 May.

Following the first round of elections at local and provincial level, Congress observers stated elections were in line with international standards, though they concluded that the Law on Local Elections should be improved, to be in line with the European Charter for Local Self-Government.
