EVERTON FC: MAKE EURO THE NORM

/noticias.info/ Tony Hibbert wants European football to become the norm at Everton.

The Toffees are back in the Uefa Cup for 2008/09 after a dramatic run in the same competition last season.

And Hibbert admits the players have developed a taste for the European stage.

He told evertonTV: "We’ve had it and we don’t want to give it up. The whole tour is just a big get together and the players love it.

"It’s all a learning curve and hopefully it will get better next season."

Local lad Hibbert knows it isn't just the players who enjoy playing in Europe!

"The lads have bonded and it’s been a great season for the lads," he acknowledged. "But hopefully we can do better next year and get some trophies.

"My dad’s been on every one of them (away trips) and he’s had a good time with his mates!"

Hibbert, who is yet to score a senior goal, also has plenty of admiration for the Blues' leading scorer Yakubu.

He added: "When we bought Yak we knew he would score goals because that’s what he had been doing for every team he’s played for.
