GOLF: ASIAN TOUR: RANDHAWA RISES TO CONTENTION AT WENTWORTH

/noticias.info/ India’s Jyoti Randhawa rose to contention at the BMW PGA Championship after firing a solid three-under-par 69 to lie in a tie for fourth place in England on Saturday.

The former Asian Tour number one posted five birdies against a double bogey at Wentworth for a six-under-par 210 total and five strokes behind leader Robert Karlsson of Sweden.

South Africa’s James Kingston shot his second straight 71 to lie in a tie for 23rd place while a stroke back was England’s Simon Dyson who shot a 73 in joint 31st for a 214 total.

Thailand’s Thongchai Jaidee slipped to a 74 in the €4.5 million event and was tied alongside Dyson.

On the Japan Golf Tour, Hur Suk-ho carded a 70 and was in joint 24th position at the Munsingwear Open KSB Cup.

Asian Tour’s Liang Wen-chong recorded a similar score and was in a tie for 29th place after a 212 total. Fijian Dinesh Chand was a stroke behind Liang in joint 38th spot after a 70 while Thailand’s Prayad Marksaeng and Chinese Taipei’s Lin Keng-chi carded matching 73s to lie in a tie for 45th place. notas_de_prensa_archivo
