JAGS' ENGLAND BACKING

Jags is currently with the England squad preparing for the friendly against the USA on Wednesday.

The ex-Sheffield United man received his first senior call-up from Fabio Capello earlier this month.

And Neville, no stranger on the international scene, believes he's a worthy recipient of England recognition.

Neville told evertonTV: "He fully deserves his England call up because there is no one more consistent as a defender in the Premier League than Jags.

"He’s been absolutely outstanding this season. He was my room mate at the start of the season and we hit it off straight away."

Neville revealed that Jags has become an integral part of the banter in the Everton dressing room, too.

He explained: "He’s not shy isn't Jags – his nicknames are microphone, amp, any loud name!
