INTERNATIONAL NEWS
/noticias.info/ There were four Blues on international duty this evening as England hosted the USA at Wembley in a game that saw the home side win 2-0.
John Terry celebrated his first game as England captain under Fabio Capello with a first half header into the back of net against the USA.
Joined in the starting line-up by Ashley Cole and Frank Lampard, Terry latched onto a David Beckham free kick to head home England's opener (pictured) in the 38th minute.
Both Cole and Terry played the full 90 minutes against the USA while Lampard was swapped for Gareth Barry in the 58th minute.
Barry's first touch of the game then set up Steven Gerrard who slotted home for England's second just before the hour mark arrived.
Joe Cole then came on in the 78th minute for Wayne Rooney and played the remainder of the game with his typical lively tempo, seeing out a comfortable victory for England. notas_de_prensa_archivo
