LIVERPOOL FC: TRAVEL DETAILS FOR ANFIELD CONCERT
Supporters attending the Liverpool Sound concert at Anfield on Sunday should note the following important travel information.
/noticias.info/ The concert is being headlined by former Beatle Sir Paul McCartney and the Anfield gates open at 5pm.
There will be no parking at Anfield and Walton Breck Road will be CLOSED all day on Sunday. You are strongly advised to travel by public transport only and not try to park in the residential streets.
We apologise for the severe disapointment that this will cause, but please understand that this is a Culture Company event for 2008, and is not organised by LFC.
Where possible, you are encouraged to use the public transport system.
If you are travelling by car it is recommended that you park your vehicle in one of the Liverpool city centre car parks and take a return journey by bus (£3 return fare). This will allow you time to watch the whole concert, return to the city centre by bus, then pick up your vehicle in order to complete your onward journey home.
Public Transport
Double Decker buses, operated by Stagecoach, will be operating from Queen Square Bus Station and St John's Lane in Liverpool City Centre, to Anfield. The cost of return bus travel is £3 per person.
The Liverpool Sound Bus will operate from Bank Hall Merseyrail station (Northern Line) and Kirkdale (Kirkby Line) from 4.30pm onwards.
Please contact www.merseytravel.gov.uk or phone 0871 200 2233 for further details.
Anfield can also be accessed via bus routes 17 or 217 from Queen Square Bus Station in Liverpool City Centre. These bus routes operate every fifteen minutes, from two minutes past the hour until 6pm, when it changes to 6.02pm, 6.32pm, and 7.32 from Stand 8.
It is worth noting that the last bus back into the city centre leaves Anfield at 11.36pm. notas_de_prensa_archivo
