Striker Bobby Gould was sold to Wolverhampton Wanderers. Later he served West Bromwich Albion and Bristol City among others

1988
Central defender Steve Bould arrived at Highbury from Stoke City. He netted eight goals in 371 outings for Arsenal between 1988 and 1999. He now plays a key role in the Arsenal Academy

2003
