INTER: Inter Primavera reach Scudetto final

/noticias.info/ VASTO (CHIETI) - Inter Primavera are through to the final act of what has been an extraordinary campaign for Vincenzo Esposito's Under-19 side.

The defending national champions and 2008 Carnival Cup winners defeated Udinese 2-1 at the Stadio Aragona in Vasto to reach their second consecutive Campionato Primavera - Trofeo Giacinto Facchetti final.

Inter will meet either Fiorentina or last season's beaten finalists Sampdoria in Sunday afternoon's showdown in Chieti.

Playing without the disqualified Mario Balotelli, Inter dominated for long stretches and held on for victory after Candreva pulled a goal back following efforts from Luca Siligardi and Sebastian Cesar Ribas.

Inter could have taken an early lead after a quick combination involving Siligardi, Ribas and Napoli, and Fatic twice forced saves from Paroni before the quarter-hour mark.

Esposito made a tactical switch mid-half, introducing Krhin for Napoli and pushing wing-back Pedrelli into an attacking position on the left.

The breakthrough came six minutes before the interval when Siligardi finished off a flowing move involving Fatic, Ribas and Pedrelli.

Bolzoni and co. continued to attack their opponents after the restart and Fatic tested the Udinese keeper from a free kick before Ribas doubled his team's lead in the 52nd minute. Siligardi turned from scorer to provider, serving the Uruguayan who hit the target with an angled left-foot shot.

Candreva reduced the arrears from a free kick in the 70th minute and Udinese could have snatched an equaliser but Laurito shot over from inside the six-yard box.
