LIVERPOOL FC: REDS BACKING SPAIN FOR EURO GLORY

With Euro 2008 set to kick-off in Basel later this afternoon, Liverpool fans have nailed their colours to the mast and chosen Spain as their country to follow during the competition.

In the absence of England from this summer's finals, we asked you which of the sixteen countries you would be lending your support - and the results are as follows:

Spain: 69%
Germany: 6.9%
Italy: 5.6%
Netherlands: 4.5%
Portugal: 3.7%
France: 3.2%
Croatia: 1.8%
Czech Republic: 1%

Poland, Sweden, Turkey, Romania, Switzerland and Austria all received less than one per cent of the overall vote.
