ESSIEN INTERNATIONAL WIN
/noticias.info/ Ghana, with Michael Essien on board, made it two wins out of two in their 2010 World Cup qualification campaign with a 3-2 victory against Lesotho.
Laryea Kingston put Ghana ahead as early as the 15th minute of a game played in South Africa due to Lesotho stadium work.
Junior Agogo, who may be on the move from Nottingham Forest to the Egyptian league this summer, made it 3-0 with goals in the 41st and 63rd minute. With the game won, Essien was withdrawn in the 84th minute, only for Lesotho to close the gap with two late strikes.
'We lost concentration at the end but I'm satisfied with two wins in a row,' Ghana coach Sillas Tetteh said afterwards.
Ivory Coast, without the fire power of Didier Drogba and Salomon Kalou, suffered their first set-back in their quest to make South Africa in two years' time. A qualifier in front of a big crowd in Madagascar ended 0-0. notas_de_prensa_archivo
