BLUES LINE UP PSV

The Dutch outfit, who also revealed the fixture on their official website, are in line to face the Toffees at Goodison Park on August 9.

The match would be the only pre-season game played at Goodison Park and is scheduled to take place a week before the opening day of the Premier League season.

PSV are the current Dutch champions having won the Eredivisie last term. The Champions League regulars finished third in their group last season before entering the Uefa Cup and beating Tottenham.

The then lost to Everton's conquerors, Fiorentina, in the quarter final.

Notable players include last season's top scorer Danny Koevermans, former Liverpool man Jan Kromkamp and highly rated midfielder Ibrahim Afellay.

The Toffees have already confirmed friendly matches against Cambridge United, Preston, Nottingham Forest, Colorado Rapids and Chicago Fire, with final confirmation of the PSV game likely to be received soon. notas_de_prensa_archivo
