EVERTON FC: NEV'S DARK HORSES
/noticias.info/ Phil Neville is tipping Croatia for Euro 2008.
Ex-Everton defender Slaven Bilic and his side are through to the knockout phase after a momentous win over Germany this week.
And Neville reckons the Eastern European side have got what it takes to go all the way.
He's been particularly impressed by Luka Modric, who is joining Tottenham.
“It’s been a really good tournament so far, with some great games and I think there will be even better to come before the end of it,” said Neville, who has also been impressed by the Netherlands and Spain.

“The team that has made the biggest impact on me is Holland. I thought they were terrific against Italy but I just don’t know whether they will be able to sustain it. Portugal have looked good but Spain could be the ones who win it.
“Then again, I wouldn’t be at all surprised if Croatia went very close. To me, they have got the player of the tournament in Luka Modric. He’s just been a bit better than Wesley Sneijder, Ronaldo and Joao Moutinho."
Everton's skipper has been thoroughly impressed with the all-round standards of football on display.
“The quality of football has been very impressive and I thought the Croatia-Germany game was outstanding," he continued.
"Germany might be down at the minute but I wouldn’t say they were out. They tend to be slow starters but are always there at the end.
“It looks like the atmosphere has been great, too, and I think that’s down to the grounds. Most venues seem to be between 30,000 and 40,000 capacity, which makes things more intimate. It looks like it’s been one big festival.” notas_de_prensa_archivo
