IRAQ: Al Hillah SWAT team captures suspected Special Groups

/noticias.info/ BALAD, Iraq – Al Hillah Special Weapons and Tactics team captured a suspected Special Groups criminal in its area, approximately 95 kilometers southeast of Baghdad June 13.

The ISWAT conducted an operation to capture the suspected criminal leader, who reportedly planned and conducted attacks against the Al Hillah Regional Embassy Office, ordered killings of Americans in Al Hillah and the assassinations of key leaders in the ISWAT.

The criminal is also suspected of improvised explosive attacks and indirect fire attacks against Iraqi and Coalition forces, weapons trafficking and document forgery.

It is alleged that he has direct links with highly sought-after Special Groups criminals leaders, financiers and has personal knowledge of the movement of lethal arms through the Al Hillah area.

“This operation is expected to disrupt Special Groups criminals operations and logistical support in the Babil Province,” said Lt. Col. Neil Harper, a spokesman for Multi-National Corps – Iraq. notas_de_prensa_archivo
