ARSENAL: Vacancies - Community Assistant positions available

Arsenal Football Club is looking for Community Assistants (2 posts)

To work with Arsenal in the Community on their work in local schools.

Double Club Assistant - To provide administrative and practical support to the Arsenal Double Club, Arsenal FC's community education project. The Double Club uses Arsenal FC and football to teach across the curriculum.

Community Assistant - To support Arsenal's diversity projects, including “World on our Doorstep”, which celebrates the rich diversities of Islington and Arsenal Football Club. Also, to coordinate Double Club work in Islington's Pupil Referral Units and to drive the football fitness/Healthy Eating project.

A college or university background in PE/Sports Sciences/football is desirable but not essential.

Posts are 11 month fixed term contracts until the end of July 2009.

Salary (range £12,000-£16,000) will depend on qualifications, experience and current remuneration.

Candidates need to work in collaboration with other colleagues, be flexible and have the ability to use Arsenal and football to inspire children to learn.
