UNITED : Ince to follow Sir Alex blueprint

Paul Ince says he will use Sir Alex Ferguson's management blueprint in his new role as Blackburn Rovers boss.

/noticias.info/ Ince's appointment means the United manager will come up against four of his old boys next season with Roy Keane (Sunderland), Mark Hughes (Manchester City) and Steve Bruce (Wigan) making up the rest of the quartet.

And the former Reds' midfielder insists he will use all the knowledge he gained under Sir Alex to try and get one over on his former boss.

“The lessons I learned from Sir Alex are about his standards. That’s the main thing I can say about him," Ince told reporters at Ewood Park. "He’s a fantastic boss and it’s no coincidence that he’s got so many ex- players managing in the Premier League.

"The characters, the choice of people he picks, his people around him, the aura about the man. I don’t want to say too much or I’ll give his secrets away.

"I was privileged to work for Sir Alex as his standards are unbelievable. I’ve been at other clubs where the standards haven’t been as high. Hopefully, I can take that into my managerial career.

"I had a text off him to say ‘Well done, congratulations’" added Ince. "But I’m under no illusions - I’m the enemy now. When we play United everything we went through together will go right out of the window."

Newspaper reports have linked Blackburn striker Roque Santa Cruz with a move to Old Trafford in recent weeks, but Ince insists his star striker is not for sale.

"If Sir Alex comes on asking about Santa Cruz then I’ll just tell him he’s not having him," he declared. notas_de_prensa_archivo
