LIVERPOOL FC: CARRA CONFIDENT OF TROPHY CHALLENGE
Jamie Carragher is confident Liverpool can make a sustained challenge for silverware on all fronts next season and has admitted that it is time for the Reds to deliver.
/noticias.info/ The no-nonsense defender feels a club of Liverpool's stature must be in the hunt for honours year in, year out, and is eager to see his side make further improvement after finishing a second season empty-handed.
"At a club like Liverpool every season is a big season and we will be going for every trophy we possibly can," said Carra.
"It is a big competition not just in the Premier League but around Europe, but i am confident we can produce something this season."
"We didn't win anything last season so we want to look to improve and that is something we have already done that we have brought in two or three players already and I am sure the manager is looking to bring some more in which I think is.
"When we get ready for the first game at Sunderland in the Premiership hopefully we will get everyone in by then."
Carragher was also pleased to see that work began on the club's new stadium earlier this week and admitted he was excited about the prospect of running out to play at the Reds' new home.
"That would be brilliant if we get the new stadium. It is something to look forward to in years to come," added Carragher.
"It is great not just for the team but also the people of Liverpool who deserve one of the best stadiums in the world and that looks like hopefully what we are going to get." notas_de_prensa_archivo
