EVERTON FC: TOP FOUR FOR TIM
/noticias.info/ Tim Cahill is aiming for a Champions League spot next season.
The Australian international has reiterated Everton's desire to build on last season's success - and that means that the next step is breaking into the top four.
But Cahill, whose season was cut short last term by a metatarsal injury, knows it will be difficult – especially with the clubs currently occupying the Champions League spaces preparing to spend big this summer.
The free-scoring midfielder exclusively told evertonTV: “Our aim is always to break into the top four.
“You have got some elite clubs that spend millions and millions of pounds and I think it’s a credit to us that we just stay where we are and not get ahead of ourselves.”
Although the Blues don’t have the transfer kitty of the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea, Cahill has insisted that he is proud to be part of a club that is consistently improving each season.
He added: “We do what we do on a shoe-string budget and we do it well.
“We know that at the end of the season everything’s accounted for and there’s no prisoners so that says a lot of our football club.
“We work very hard to keep the value of the name and the value of our players and each player really enjoys playing here and the players that come in feel really at home.” notas_de_prensa_archivo
