LIVERPOOL FC: ON THIS DAY: JUNE 29, 1990
Ronny Rosenthal sealed a permanent move from Standard Liege to Liverpool on this day in 1990 after making a stunning impact while on loan at the club.
/noticias.info/ The Israeli forward made his Reds bow as a substitute against Southampton at the back end of the 1989/90 campaign before hitting a perfect hat-trick on his full debut in a 4-0 win away to Charlton Athletic.
It instantly catapulted him towards cult status and he went on to score four goals in the last six games of the season to help Kenny Dalglish's side clinch the club's 18th league title.
'Rocket' Ronny would go on to make 97 appearances for the Reds, scoring 22 goals, before moving to Tottenham in 1994. notas_de_prensa_archivo
