ARSENAL: Reserves XI announce pre-season game

/noticias.info/ An Arsenal Reserves XI will play Boreham Wood FC in mid-August.

The match is scheduled for Tuesday August 12 or Wednesday August 13, however an exact date cannot be confirmed because Arsène Wenger’s side do not yet know their commitments in the UEFA Champions League Third Qualifying Round.

The draw for this stage of the competition takes place on Friday August 1 and the date of the friendly game at Meadow Park will be confirmed shortly afterwards.

However, whatever the day the first team play in the UEFA Champions League, the Club would like to stress that the Arsenal side playing at Boreham Wood will consist of Reserve and Academy players.

This match is part of the Club’s ongoing agreement with the Ryman Premier League side, who are managed by ex-Arsenal midfielder Ian Allinson. Boreham Wood will continue to host Arsenal Ladies’ matches throughout the 2008/09 season.
