Danny Murphy scored the winning goal at Old Trafford for a third time as his penalty saw the Reds beat Manchester United 1-0.

Liverpool played well and took the game to United and they got their rewards when Gary Neville brought down Steven Gerrard. Murphy duly put away the spot kick to send the travelling Kop wild with delight.

It was an important win for Gerard Houllier's team as the Reds bounced back after three games without a win.
