EVERTON FC: BLUES RELISH RETURN
/noticias.info/ Everton's players are back in the swing of things at Finch Farm - and loving it!
The Blues' squad reconvened at the Club's training ground on Thursday, undergoing a series of fitness tests in preparation for the pre-season training programme.
That programme got underway on Friday with a double training session prior to the squad departing for Switzerland next week for an intensive training camp.
The prospect of the hard work that lies ahead is something that the players are relishing though.
Phil Jagielka told evertonfc.com: "When you get back in pre-season you start thinking about that first game of the new season. But before then we have got a lot of hard work ahead of us.
"It is tough, but it has to be done and it is also an enjoyable time of the year as well. Making sure we are 100 per cent for the new season is vital. This is when the work is done to give us the edge for the season, which means working incredibly hard."
Everton skipper Phil Neville echoed those sentiments, saying: "We're glad to be back and excited about the new season. The work we do in the next few weeks is so important if we want it to be another successful season."
Andrew Johnson was equally delighted to be back in pre-season, adding: "It is great to be back out there on the training pitch!"

A number of first team players have been given additional time off after a hectic summer of international fixtures in World Cup qualifiers in both North America and Africa. notas_de_prensa_archivo
