BEIJING 2008:Beijing Mayor: Let rehearsals help improve Olympic preparations

/noticias.info/ On Thursday, Mayor Guo Jinlong of Beijing urged organizers to enhance supervision of staff members and implementation of policies in an effort to improve preparations for the Olympic Games, which are 36 days away.

All human resources and related policies must be put in place and work procedures must be speeded up through smoother information transmission and higher efficiency, he said at a meeting of the General Command for the Beijing Olympic and Paralympic Games, the Beijing Daily reports.

He called for closer links with the International Olympic Committee to seriously resolve questions put forward by the IOC Games-time coordination office.
